PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a receiver's terminal to easily retrieve and classify an image file attached to e-mail to be transmitted, or the like. SOLUTION: A mail server 10 receives e-mail with an image file transmitted from a sender's terminal device 20 attached thereto (step 41). The mail server 10 inserts the name and telephone number, etc., of the sender stored in a personal information storage database into a header of the image file attached to the e-mail as a tag (step 42 and 43). The image file with the name, etc., of the sender inserted thereinto is attached to the e-mail as a substitute for the image file attached to the received e-mail and is transmitted to the receiver's terminal 30 (step 44).
