PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device without having to modify a back-guard part and enables providing the lighting device, even when there is no back-guard part. SOLUTION: The lighting device has a support tool 10, erected from a face-to-face kitchen unit 3 with which a kitchen side K and a dining side d can face each other over a work-top 3b; and a lighting fixture 11 attached to the support tool 10, illuminating a work-top side 3b of the kitchen unit 3. The support tool 10 has two support poles 12, 12 erected with an interval not interrupting a face-to face situation. A hollow part 12a is formed at each support pole 12, and each wiring 19 is guided from the lighting fixture 11 to the cabinet body side 3a of the kitchen unit 3 via each hollow part 12a. The lighting device has chopping board holders 44, forming a space S for holding a chopping board against the support tool 10; and a bactericidal tool 45 irradiating a bactericidal beam to the space S.
