PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing an ink jet head in which a fused piece is prevented from adhering to a heater when a filter is bonded to a manifold by means of the heater. SOLUTION: The process for manufacturing an ink jet head comprises a first step for mounting a filter 31 on a thermally fusing part 33 of nano composite resin provided integrally at the circumferential edge part of the ink channel of a manifold 22, a second step for mounting a metal foil 32 covering the fusing part on the filter 31, and a third step for bonding the filter 31 to the manifold 22 by hot pressing the metal foil 32 by means of the heater thereby transmitting heat and pressure generated by the heater to the fusing part 33 through the filter 31.
