PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system and a map database editing method in the system capable of making a user edit lane information of an intersection included in a map database. SOLUTION: This navigation system of the present invention has a function for searching a route to a destination and for guiding the searched route, and includes: a storage device 30 for storing a map data; a display 51 for displaying a map on the basis of the map data stored in the storage device 30; a editing means for editing the lane information 100 of the intersection displayed on the display 51; and an updating means for updating a content of the storage part 30 on the basis of the lane information of the intersection edited by the editing means.
