PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, etc. capable of displaying a video image having aspect ratio of 16:9 while having a function of picking up a still image having regular aspect ratio. SOLUTION: When a display part is turned to a landscape direction and a movie is appreciated as holding the display part on both end parts of a cellular phone 1 at a folded state with both hands LH, RH as shown in (a), full screen display of the movie with wide size is performed to the display part having the aspect ratio of 16:9. In addition, when the image is picked up, since an effective image area of an image sensor which the cellular phone 1 has has aspect ratio of 4:3, an object image is displayed on the display part by the aspect ratio of 4:3 as illustrated in (b), a user perform photography by holding the cellular phone 1 with the right hand RH and performing a shutter operation with a right hand index finger R1.
