PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a multifunction machine arranged to perform scanning operation and facsimile communication alternatively in order to prevent the complication of an arrangement that conflict happens between the scanning operation and the facsimile communication. SOLUTION: The multifunction machine 200 comprising a plane sequential system color scanner 203 for reading respective colors of RGB individually, and an NCU 18 for external line is provided with a CPU 10 for bringing the NCU 18 into line connection state with a virtual communication terminal on the basis of a priority control program 201 during the color scanning of each color, and bringing it into a non-line connection state during the non-color scanning of each color.
