PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object measurement apparatus that enables high speed processing and enables accurate counting even when a plurality of objects pass a borderline simultaneously. SOLUTION: The object measurement apparatus extracts motion vectors V over a plurality of time points at a plurality of respective positions on a borderline BL according to a plurality of images. The object measurement apparatus computes integral values of the integration of perpendicular components (Y-direction components) of the motion vectors V to the borderline BL. The integral values computed preferably have at least one integral value of the integration of either of plus and minus sign components of the perpendicular components, separated from the other.
