PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for rotary electric machines that makes it possible to reduce the production cost and enhance the stock utilization. SOLUTION: The rotor 2 for rotary electric machines has a cylindrical rotor core 6 that is placed inside a cylindrical stator 1 with a predetermined gap between it and the circumferential surface of the stator 1, and permanent magnets 7 bonded to the rotor core 6. The rotor core 6 of the rotor 2 comprises a plurality of split cores 60 formed by laminating a plurality of split core pieces that are formed by molding an electromagnetic steel plate and have magnet attachment portions 60a to which the permanent magnets 7 are to be bonded formed in the circumferential direction with a predetermined pitch. A plurality of the split cores 60 are molded in an arc shape, and are formed in a cylindrical shape with the ends of the arcs used as joining portions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
