PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an object whose temperature is to be sensed from going out of the thermometry range of a matrix IR sensor when sensing the temperature of an occupant by the matrix IR sensor. SOLUTION: The matrix IR sensors 70a and 70b having the thermometry ranges 700a and 700b arranged in matrix form are disposed in the ceiling parts Ra and Rb over the right and the left rear seat occupants. By the sensors, the surface temperatures (Dr9-Dr16) of the rear seat occupant, the interior fitting temperatures (Dr6 and Dr7) of the rear seat door, and the rear window surface temperatures (Dr2 and Dr3) can be sensed with the same visual field. As the matrix IR sensors sense the temperature of each rear seat occupant from above, the change in the positions of the occupant shoulders and thighs on the IR sensors can be suppressed even if the physique and seating height of the occupants vary.
