PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of deciding whether or not printing is possible in consideration of conditions inside a machine.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 including an image forming part 40 which transfers a toner image to a long sheet and a fixing part 60 which fixes the toner image transferred in the image forming part 40 to the long sheet and forming an image on the long sheet after passing through a conveyance path 50 from a paper feed side to a paper discharge side includes a paper presence determination part 101 which determines whether or not the long sheet is present along the conveyance path 50, when a power supply is turned on, a temperature determination part 102 which determines whether or not the fixing temperature of the fixing part 60 is a previously set temperature or less, when it is determined that the long sheet is present along the conveyance path 50 by the paper presence determination part 101, and a state setting part 103 which sets the fixing operation state of the fixing part 60 to an inhibition state, when it is determined that the fixing temperature is not the previously set temperature or less by the temperature determination part 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
