PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a motor driving circuit, and to reduce the cost thereof by eliminating necessity of providing a fail safe relay in an electric power steering device provided with two motors. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device having a first and a second motors Ma and Mb arranged on a steering torque transmitting route, a first motor driving circuit Ca is provided with a first fuse 47a between the firt motor Ma, and a second motor driving circuit Cb is provided with a second fuse 47b between the second motor Mb. When the first motor driving circuit Ca or the second motor driving circuit Cb is failed, the first fuse 47a or the second fuse 47b corresponding to the failed circuit is fused for disconnection to prevent inappropriate operation of the motor connected to the failed motor driving circuit. Since a fuse is compact and price thereof is low in comparison with a fail safe relay and special wiring for disconnection thereof is unnecessary, the first and the second motor driving circuits Ca and Cb can be miniaturized and the cost thereof can be reduced.
