PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound source direction detecting apparatus capable of detecting the direction of an abnormal sound in a piping installation for example with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The sound source direction detecting apparatus 10 includes a first microphone 11 for detecting a sound from a first direction at the very first, a second microphone 12 provided at a predetermined space from the first microphone 11 for detecting a sound from a second direction at the very first, a flip-flop circuit 13 to which output signals A and B from the first and second microphones 11 and 12 are input, and a sound source direction detection unit 14 for detecting the sound source direction based on first and second output signals Q<SB>A</SB>and Q<SB>B</SB>from the flip-flop circuit 13.
