PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a liquid crystal glass comprising a pair of plate glasses along a cutting planned line only by conducting a cutting process comprising partial heating and partial cooling only once. SOLUTION: The method of cutting the liquid crystal glass is carried out by cutting the liquid crystal glass G formed by joining a pair of plate glass 1 and 2 with many stripes of adhesive parts 4 along the cutting planned line ranging from the edge of a cutting starting part A to the edge of a cutting finishing part B between the adhesive parts 4 adjacent to each other. The cutting is conducted by previously forming notches (a), (b), (c) and (d) for cutting the starting part on the outer surfaces or the edge side surfaces of both plate glass 1 and 2 or previously forming a notch (g) for cutting the finishing part on the esge side surface of one of the plate glass 1, partially and continuously heating from the outer surface side of one of plate glass 1 and at the same time, partially and continuously cooling the partially heated part on the cutting planned line L in the cutting starting part A or on the cutting planned line L in the cutting finishing part (B) to simultaneously cut both plate glass 1 and 2.
