FIELD: organic synthesis. ^ SUBSTANCE: leukoparafuchsin is prepared by dissolving parafuchsin in 1.5-17 M hydrochloric and/or acetic acid followed by reducing dissolved parafuchsin with metallic zinc used in quantity 30 to 100 g per 1 L solution at 20 to 100°C and subsequent filtration and isolation of desired product with the aid of aqueous ammonia solution. Preferably, yet not isolated filtration product is subjected to re-precipitation with aqueous ammonia solution. Leukoparafuchsin is further acylated by hexachlorodimethyl carbonate in boiling chlorobenzene of dichlorobenzene to give 4,4',4"-triphenylmethanetriisocyanate. Advantageously, solid hexachlorodimethyl carbonate is added to suspension of leukoparafuchsin in chlorobenzene and reaction is conducted while raising temperature from its room value to 132°C. 4,4',4"-Triphenylmethanetriisocyanate is suitable for further use, in particular to prepare glue "Leiconat" showing high technical characteristics. ^ EFFECT: expanded synthetic characteristics. ^ 1 tbl, 13 ex |
