PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for efficiently and stably manufacturing toner which is finer/more homogeneous in dispersion of a colorant, is sharper in grain size distribution, and is better in image characteristics, such as image density. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the toner including a colorant dispersion process, a pelletization process, and a polymerization process, the dispersion process is provided with an inner chamber and an outer chamber by a cylindrical separator having a slit within a cylindrical vessel having a first wall surface having a liquid supply port and a second wall surface having a liquid discharge outlet, and a revolving rotor including multiple projections rotatable by rotationally driving of a drive shaft and a medium particle agitation type wet dispersing machine containing a plurality of spherical media are used as the dispersion means within the inner chamber.
