PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing efficiency by changing the shape of a shank used for a front suspension of an automobile. SOLUTION: In this shank, a top mounting part 3 mounting a tip end of an upper arm is coupled with a bottom mounting part 4 mounting a tip end of a lower arm via a body 5, and a knuckle mounting part 7 is formed at a tip end of an arm 6 projecting outward from the body 5. A bottom end of the body 5 from the top mounting part 3 to the bottom mounting part 4 extends outwardly to constitute the arm 6, so that the shank can be manufactured by heating and molding once.
