PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear capable of separately or simultaneously carrying out telescopic motion and tilting motion and carrying out the tilting motion regardless of a position of a tilting fulcrum in simple constitution using a single motor. SOLUTION: The motor 6 for the telescopic motion and the tilting motion is mounted with a motor shaft roughly orthogonal with a steering column 1, rotation of this motor shaft is transmitted to a telescopic shaft 8 roughly in parallel with the steering column 1 and a tilting shaft 7 roughly orthogonal with this telescopic shaft 8 and the motor shaft through each of clutches (telescopic clutch 81, tilting clutch 71), the telescopic motion is carried out by rotation of the telescopic shaft 8 and the tilting motion is carried out by rotation of the tilting shaft 7.
