METHOD FOR REPAIRING FINISHED SURFACE AND DECORATIVE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and appropriately repair an internal trim material of a vehicle while a durability for a long period which a melamine resin decorative sheet possesses is utilized, and to attain environmental preservation by reducing industrial wastes. SOLUTION: A finishing surface of an existing decorative panel 1 for the vehicle is renewed by overlaying the existing decorative panel 1 for the vehicle with a melamine resin decorative sheet 10. The melamine resin decorative sheet 10 consists of a metal sheet 14 and a decorative material 12 overlying this metal sheet 14. The decorative material 12 comprises a core layer 16 such as a phenol resin-impregnated kraft paper and a melamine resin decorative layer 18 overlying this core layer 16. The melamine resin decorative sheet 10 is so adjusted that the water content to the whole weight is made≤3%. The melamine resin decorative layer 18 is molded by incorporating a non-condensation reaction type modifier such as a water-soluble acrylic resin into a melamine resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
