PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device capable of conducting an appropriate WB (White Balance) correction during trimming photographing, while determining a trimming area freely. SOLUTION: An AE (Auto Exposure) detecting circuit 51 in a digital camera 10 determines whether a photographing mode is a trimming photographing mode or not, by half-push of a release button 19. When it is determined that the photographing mode is the trimming photographing mode, the AE detecting circuit 51 reconfigures a photometry area from a full photographing area to a trimming area, while the circuit divides the photometry area into a plurality of split areas and performs splitting photometry. The AWB (Auto White Balance) detecting circuit 52 sets up an area for acquiring image data for WB correction as the full photographing area even in the trimming photographing mode, while the circuit computes R/G and B/G ratios for each color integrated value of R, G, and B signals for each split area. Therefore, an appropriate WB correction can be conducted during trimming photographing, while the trimming area is determined freely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
