PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen a footbridge and its footboards so as to reduce the total weight and manufacture cost. SOLUTION: All the parts of a footbridge 101 are made of CFRP moldings except for the 6 units of concrete foundations 104 installed under road surfaces 102. This footbridge is lighter about 1/4 to 1/5 in total weight than a conventional steel footbridge. By using CFRT moldings to make a footbridge, it can become very easy to assemble parts and members at a factory, transport them in groups divided and assemble a footbridge at a construction site. Moreover the footbridge 101 mostly made of CFRP moldings has high corrosion resistance, is free from corrosion and available for a long time, and changes little in its appearance after a long-time application, compared with conventional steel-made footbridges that may often be subjected to corrosion starting from the parts where coating begins to be peeled off several years after their construction.
