PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight without impairing run flat performance. SOLUTION: This run flat tire 1 has a carcass 6, and a side reinforcing rubber layer 9 forming a cross-sectional substantially crescent shape; and is constituted so that a reinforcing cord layer 10 composed of at least one reinforcing ply 10A having a cord inclined in the radial direction, is attached to an outside surface in the tire axis direction of the side reinforcing rubber layer 9.
