3-(Aryl-(hydroxyimino)-methyl)-1-(substituted alkyl)-1H-indole derivatives (I) are new. Indole derivatives of formula (I) and their salts and/or solvates are new. Ar = (a) phenyl substituted by 1-3 of halo, T, CF3, NH2, NO2, OH, OT, ST and SO2T or (b) naphthyl optionally substituted by 1 or 2 of halo, T and CF3; T = 1-4C alkyl; A = 2-6C alkylene; Y = SR4, SOR4, SO2R4, SO2NR5R6, N(R7)SO2R4, OR4 or N(R7)SO2NR5R6; R1, R3, R'3 = H, halo, OH, T, CF3 or OT; R2, R5 - R7 = H or T; R4 = T or CF3; R = H, T or 2-4C alkenyl.
