PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect articles and services that a user is interested in as user's preferences. SOLUTION: The preference information collecting system is provided with a user mobile terminal 102 capable of storing a user identifier uniquely identifying a user, an information retrieving device 104 equipped with a retrieval information input part 108 for inputting retrieval information for making the user to retrieve desired information and a user identifier acquisition part 110 for acquiring the identifier of the user, and a preference information managing server 114 for managing user's preference information, and the information retrieving device 104 correlates with the user identifier acquired from the user mobile terminal and article/service information retrieved by the user, and transmits to a preference information managing server.
