PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for peeling a protective film from the surface of a film main body. SOLUTION: A press roller 10, with the lower end of an adhesive tape 20, is pushed to the surface of the protective film 50 to stick the lower end of the adhesive tape 20 on the surface of the protective film 50. Next, an adhesive tape part 22 is slackened, the press roller 10 is moved along the surface of the adhesive tape part 22 on the protective film 50 to the side edge 42 of the film main body oppositely to the protective film 50 peeling direction while being rotated, and the adhesive tape part 22 is stuck in the protective film 50 peeling direction. Next, the press roller 10 is moved on the protective film 50 inside the film main body 40 while being rotated, and a protective film 50 part is peeled off in the circumferential direction of the press roller while part of the adhesive tape part 22 is rewound onto the peripheral part of the press roller 10.
