PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a blast furnace, which shortens a work period for and improves security in constructing the blast furnace, even in the case of having adopted a ring block with a super heavy weight in a bottom section. SOLUTION: The method for constructing the blast furnace with the use of a lift-up construction technique comprises constructing the bottom section ring block which will be finally transported to a blast furnace foundation, on a frame having the same level as the blast furnace foundation, simultaneously with a stave for cooling a furnace body, a blast furnace bottom brick and a pipe for cooling the furnace body; transporting them to the blast furnace foundation; and horizontally sliding them on the blast furnace foundation to introduce them to a place right under the upper section ring block.
