PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanotube-containing polymer dispersing and solubilizing the carbon nanotube in a polymerizable monomer without deteriorating characteristics of the carbon nanotube itself without separating, agglomerating the carbon nanotube over a long period by polymerizing the polymerizable monomer, having excellent electroconductivity, etc., coating and covering a substrate according to a simple method and affording the coated film having excellent water resistance, etc., to provide a composite having the coated film composed of the same and to provide a method for producing the same and a method for evaluating physical properties of the carbon nanotube. SOLUTION: The carbon nanotube-containing polymer is obtained by carrying out a polymerization reaction of the polymerizable monomer (i) in a carbon nanotube-containing composition containing an electroconductive polymer (a), the polymerizable monomer (i), the carbon nanotube (c) and, as necessary, further a solvent (b), a polymer (d), a basic compound (e), a surfactant (f), a silane coupling agent (g) and a colloidal silica (h).
