PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorescence-emitting polymer having excellent light-emitting characteristics and capable of being formed into a film by a wet process; and to provide an easily produceable organic electroluminescence element having excellent light-emitting characteristics and durability, and also having a long service life. SOLUTION: The phosphorescence-emitting polymer has a metal complex-containing group having a phenylpyridine structure and bonded to the main chain containing an aromatic compound group.
