PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxymethylene crude copolymer of high thermal stability with high polymerization degree and in high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the oxymethylene copolymer comprises carrying out a mass copolymerization between trioxane as the main monomer and a cyclic ether and/or cyclic formal having at least one carbon-carbon bond as comonomer(s) in the presence of a cationic polymerization catalyst.
