PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify the function and role of proteins expressing in living bodies. SOLUTION: Ponsin is a protein important for insulin-stimulated glucose incorporation, is an important control factor for saccharometabolism, and thus is related to the crisis of obesity or diabetes. Besides, there are interactions between the ponsin and respective proteins of N-WASP, ENAH and WIRE (each having a specific sequence). Therefore, the new functions of and interactions between these proteins are applied to a obesity/diabetes therapeutic agent or a screening method related to obesity/diabetes.
