PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the pressure resistance of a column in spite of the deformation and expansion of a column main body. SOLUTION: A column stopper 1 is constituted so as to hermetically close one of column main bodies, of which both ends communicate with each other, used in a liquid chromatograph and equipped with a column stopper main body 21 which has a main body part 11 having a flow hole 19 through which an elute containing a dissolved sample passes and the flange ring 12 arranged in coaxial relation to the main body part 11 so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the main body part 11, the ring nut 13 screwed in the main body part 11 so as to displace the main body part 11 axially accompanied by rotation, the O-ring 17 axially held by the main body part 11 and the flange ring 12 and coil spring 15 held by the ring nut 13 and the flange ring 12 in a state that the flange ring 12 is energized in a direction pressing the O-ring 17.
