PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaustion head for a discharge lamp bulb with a double-tube structure simplifying a manufacturing process and contributing to improvement of productivity and yield. SOLUTION: The exhaustion head for the discharge lamp bulb with the double-tube structure is composed of: an inner tube supporting pipe 12, in the hollow part of which, an end part of an outer tube 2 made of glass and an inner tube 1 exposed outside from the outer tube are arranged; an outer tube supporting pipe 13 movement freely inserted into a cylinder formed at a rear end part of the inner tube supporting pipe, in a hollow part of which, the outer tube is inserted; a ring-shaped elastic body 15 for the inner tube formed at a tip end part of the inner tube supporting pipe 12, fitted into the inner tube exposed from the outer tube; an inner tube supporting pipe driving mechanism 14 moving the inner tube supporting pipe 12 in an axial direction in the cylinder formed on the exhaustion head main body for opening/closing the ring-shaped elastic body 15 for the inner tube; a ring-shaped elastic body 13c for the outer tube formed at the tip end part of the inner tube supporting pipe, fitted into the end part of the outer tube; and an outer tube supporting pipe driving mechanism 16 moving the outer tube supporting pipe in an axial direction in the cylinder formed on the inner tube supporting pipe for opening/closing the ring-shaped elastic body 15 for the outer tube.
