PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reusing refractory, materializing increase in an amount of use of used refractory, and increase in a yield of the used refractory in refining treatment to a high level.SOLUTION: A refractory used in an iron mill is reused for refining treatment of molten iron. Refractory powder with a size enabling it to be melted by the refining treatment is produced by crushing the refractory. The refractory powder is stored for an unfixed period in a predetermined storage position. The stored refractory powder is classified using a sieve which provides the refractory powder having a size enabling the refractory powder to pass through a feeding device installed in a molten iron storage vessel for use in the refining treatment. Undersized refractory powder is put in the feeding device, and is fed to the molten iron storage vessel. Then the molten iron is charge to the molten iron storage vessel, and the refining treatment of the molten iron is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
