PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer capable of suppressing the temperature rise of the inside surface of a treatment vessel, capable of preventing garbage, even when it contains rice, or the like, from providing a rice caky form or a scorching to stick closely to the inside surface of the treatment vessel and to a rotor or stirring blades thereby to be not separated from them, and capable of serving to stabilize the treatment of the garbage. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with feeding-use cooling fans 30a, 30b for feeding the cool air into a space S between a housing 2 and the treatment vessel 1 as a cooling means 30 for cooling the treatment vessel 1 and with a discharging-use cooling fan 30c for discharging the cool air fed into the space S between the housing 2 and the treatment vessel 1 by the feeding-use cooling fans 30a, 30b into the outside of the housing 2.
