FIELD: agriculture, in particular, growing of plants with the use of mulch cover. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves mulching sowing bed with air- and moisture permeable woven polymeric cover having discretely arranged slots above plants, with aboveground parts of plants extending through said slots; mulching sowing lines with portion of mulch cover, whose upper surface is white and lower surface is black, with transverse width of said portion of mulch cover exceeding width of sowing line at both sides by value equal to half the diameter of root system of plant during growing period of sowing year. ^ EFFECT: provision for creating favorable conditions for germination of seeds and growing of plants under arid climate conditions, and improved protection of plants from weedage and pests.
