FRAME CIRCULATING TYPE NOISE REDUCTION METHOD AND FRAME CIRCULATING TYPE NOISE REDUCTION DEVICE

A frame circulating type noise reduction method is used in an image display device which divides one-field period into a plurality of sub-fields and displays gradation by combinations of light emission for each sub-field. The method detects an area where the sub-field blur, i.e., unclearness of the image edge portion is deteriorated and differentiates the circulating amount between the area where the sub-field blur is deteriorated and the other area, thereby reducing the noise.
