PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a control cable containing a lubricant easily applicable with less number of steps and the control cable containing the lubricant having excellent sliding performance irrespective of the types of inner cable. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the control cable containing the lubricant G comprising a tube-like outer cable 10 and the inner cable 20 slidably inserted into the outer cable 10 comprises a lubricant composition coating step for coating a lubricant composition G' on the inner peripheral surface part of the outer cable 10 by flowing the lubricant composition G' containing the lubricant G and an organic solvent diluting the lubricant G from one end side 32 to the other end side 33 of the outer cable 10, a lubricant coating step for forming a lubricant film formed of the lubricant G by evaporating the organic solvent, and an assembling step for inserting the inner cable 20 into the outer cable 10.
