PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system for eliminating any replacement operation by a maintenance personnel at the time of updating a module. SOLUTION: This module updating program connected through a network to a server which provides a task system for registering and updating a module which defines task processing on a client terminal is provided with a module list stored in a region which can be updated only by the manager authority of the client terminal, and equipped with the identifier and storage destination of a module applied to the client terminal, an automatic update processing part for acquiring the version setting file of a module which should be applied when the use of the task system is started, and for comparing the version to be designated by the version setting file, and applied to the client terminal, and for acquiring the module to be applied when it is decided that the update is necessary and an update proxy processing part to be operated with the manager authority of the client terminal for registering the acquired module.
