PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope compensated switching regulator that allows effective slope compensation and production at low cost, and easy designing. SOLUTION: A switching regulator circuit 300 includes a power supply 30 and a switching circuit 25 for controlling the connection between a load 32 and the power supply 30. The operation of the switching circuit 25 is controlled, according to a control signal 22 generated by a control circuit 50. There are provided a feedback circuit for generating a feedback signal 28 that indicates a stabilization voltage supplied to a load, and a circuit for generating a detection signal 16 that indicates an electrical current supplied from the power supply. A timing signal generator 1 generates a ramp signal 3, and a clock signal 20. A power control current source 35, controlled by the ramp signal 3, generates a compensation signal 6. The control circuit 50 creates the control signal 22, based on the compensation signal 6 and a timing signal 20 and the detection signal 16 and the feedback signal 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
