PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound generating device capable of improving sound quality by suppressing reverberation by suppressing the excessive vibration of a diaphragm. SOLUTION: This device has a vibration generating means 130, an excitation member 121 and a panel 120 resiliently supported by the excitation member 121, and vibration generated in the means 130 is transmitted to the panel 120 via the excitation means 121. A second coil 111 for generating second magnetic fields 160a, 160b for suppressing the vibration of the panel 120 is provided on at least either the excitation member 121 or the panel 120.
