PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which ensures excellent solubility in preparation of a coating solution and excellent storage stability of a prepared coating solution, excels in film adhesiveness and electric response, and has good mechanical properties, particularly good wear resistance. SOLUTION: An aromatic polyester polycarbonate resin is incorporated as a binder resin into a photosensitive layer, a block copolymer having an aromatic polycarbonate block and an aromatic polyester moiety is used as the aromatic polyester polycarbonate resin, wherein a viscosity average molecular weight of the aromatic polycarbonate block is 3,000-50,000, and a viscosity average molecular weight of the entire aromatic polyester polycarbonate resin is 15,000-200,000.
