PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform fuel quantity correction at the time of supplying secondary air and to thereby inhibit generation of torque shock, etc. SOLUTION: As a secondary air supply system, secondary air piping 35 is connected upstream of a catalyst 31 in an exhaust pipe 24 and a secondary air pump 36 is installed at an upstream part of the secondary air piping 35. An ECU 40 performs secondary air supply processing and performs air-fuel ratio F/B (Feed Back) control so that an air-fuel ratio in the exhaust pipe 24 reaches a target air-fuel ratio. When the air-fuel ratio F/B control is stopped from an execution state during supply of the secondary air, an air-fuel ratio correction amount at the time of stopping the F/B is gradually decreased to a no-correction condition.
