PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable limiting presentation of content including exclusion keywords. SOLUTION: A server 2-1 transmits program attribute information to a video image recording and reproducing apparatus 11 via a network 1. The program attribute information is composed of program attribute names and program attribute retrieval conditions including the exclusion keywords. The video image recording and reproducing apparatus 11 displays a list of the program attribute names on a display device 12. A user selects a program attribute name that is considered to be most relating to a program of which the user wants to make a recording reservation from the list. The video image recording and reproducing apparatus 11 compares retrieval conditions corresponding to the selected program attribute name with EPG information and when the retrieval conditions are satisfied, records a program expressed by this EPG (a program excluding a program of which EPG information includes the exclusion keyword) in a recording reservation list.
