PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image transmitting method that enable a user to start scanning without making all settings and to effectively use wait times up to the end of scanning and transmission completion confirmation, and also eliminate the need to retrieve a file having been sent and make settings corresponding to contents again by the user. SOLUTION: The image processor is equipped with: a scanning means 1 of scanning a document; a file transmitting means 4 of transmitting an image file of the scanned document to a designated transmission destination; a user setting receiving means 9 of receiving user settings relating to the image file after the scanning is started; and a file operation means 5 of reflecting the user settings which are received after the start of scanning and relates to the image file on the image file.
