PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a lens replacement type single lens reflex digital camera, in which an attached lens is frequently detached every time the lens is replaced or stored, with the result that the opening of a camera main body is exposed and is susceptible to entry of dust or the like and photographing conducted with such foreign matter sticking to an inside imaging element may involve photographing of the shade of the foreign matter together with a subject image, and leading to unsatisfactory photographing. SOLUTION: When the camera main body is in specific posture (except the posture in which the camera opening faces down) with a replacement lens unattached to the camera main body, dust or the like may enter the camera opening and, therefore, a warning is given to a user in order to avoid it (steps 101 to 105).
