PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform the turning information regarding the next turning spot in an appropriate timing by taking into consideration the car weight during a car navigation system performing running route guidance. SOLUTION: The car navigation system provided with a route guidance means for guiding a driver along the searched running route comprises a position of self car detection means, and the route searching means for searching the route till a destination, wherein the route guidance means informs the driver of turning information at the far before spot than the next spot to turn if the car is heavy and if the car is lighter than that informs at the before spot than the spot to turn.
