PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic one-component toner having excellent environmental stability which can form a uniform image without a defect in any environment. SOLUTION: The toner is prepared by externally adding hydrophobicized silica particles and alumina particles to a mixture of at least a binder resin and a colorant. The alumina particles are manufactured by Bayer process (wet alkaline process) and they are spheric, making an crystal (corundum structure) and having 1 to 2 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area,≤2.5μm average volume particle diameter,≤0.05% sodium content and 0.99 environmental change rate.
