PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean indoor air by controlling operation suited to particle sizes of dust floating in indoor air and odor. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is provided with: a suction port 2 sucking indoor air into a body 1; an openable/closable sucking lid 9 provided at the suction port 2; a blow-out port 5 blowing out cleaned air into a room; an angle-adjustable blow-out louver 6 provided at the blow-out port 5; a dust sensor 7 detecting the particle sizes of dust in the sucked air; and a gas sensor 10 detecting gas concentration. By controlling air stream according to particle sizes and presence/absence of odor by adjusting the angle of the louver 6 and opening/closing of the lid 9, indoor circulation air stream is formed corresponding to the particle sizes and the presence of odor, and is efficiently guided to the suction port 2 of the body 1 to smoothly clean the air in the room.
