PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely complete printing after the printing is started by generating no interruption of the printing caused by use up of ink. SOLUTION: In an inkjet printer 1 which feeds the ink to a printing head delivering ink droplets from an ink tank, a controlling circuit 50 is equipped with an ink remaining amount detecting part 56 for detecting the remaining amount of the ink in the ink tanks 7 and 8, and based on the scheduled amount of ink consumption corresponding to the printing data inputted from outside, printing corresponding to the printing data is prohibited when the remaining amount of the ink before printing is less than the scheduled consumption.
