PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regional information providing method, a server device, and a program for the same protecting privacy of a person who answers questions. SOLUTION: According to the regional information providing method, the server device, and the program for the same, in transmitting and receiving a question related to a desired region and an answer to it to and from terminal devices via a server device connected to a communication network, the server device acquires information about the location of the respective terminal devices and determines, on the basis of the information, regions where the respective terminal devices are located. When the server device receives a question about a desired region from a first terminal device, the device determines other terminal devices for limiting transmission of the question on the basis of the location of the first terminal device and/or the number of other terminal devices among the other terminal devices located in the region, transmits the question to other terminal devices where the transmission of questions is not limited, and transmits an answer to the first terminal device from the terminal devices.
