PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved cable connector to realize sure and correct electrical and mechanical connections of a connector to an electronic equipment to which a signal is transmitted. SOLUTION: The connector is provided with a connector main body having an end part to receive the cable and a connection end part of the opposite side. Furthermore, the connector is provided with a nut member, a collar, an inside post, and a locking sleeve made movable in an axial direction. The ring-shaped locking sleeve is free to advance and retreat within a range between a first "open" position and a second "closed" position. At the "open" position, the inside post is protruded beyond the cable receiving end of the locking sleeve, and is exposed so that the end part of the coaxial cable treated beforehand can be easily inserted. When the end part of the coaxial cable treated beforehand is inserted, the ring-shaped locking sleeve is moved to the "closed" position, that is, extended, and the inserted cable is strongly clamped between the inside post and the ring-shaped sleeve.
